I-day: Pak warns of terror attack at Wagah border

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan today warned that Fazal Ullah group of Tehreek-e-Taliban was planning a terror attack on the Wagah border with India during the Independence Day celebrations in the two countries.

In a letter to Punjab Home Secretary, Pakistan National Counter Terrorism Authority warned that the terror group was planning to target the parade at Wagah border between August 13-15.

The letter said at least two suicide bombers have been sent to carry out the attack and suggested extreme vigilance and heightened security measures to avoid any untoward incident. (AGENCIES)
