Banyan International School organizes life skills workshop for teachers

JAMMU, Aug 10: Banyan International School in association with Pearson Schools organized a teacher workshop on “Life Skills and Personal Safety of Students”.
The workshop was conducted by Dr Sangeeta Saksena, Founder of Enfold Trust, Bengaluru and co-author of the series on life skills called “On Track” prescribed by the School for the students from grade 3 to 8.
The workshop was aimed at training teachers to use the on track series and life skills manual to bring about a positive shift in the attitude and behavior of the students.
While speaking, Dr Saksena elaborated on how these books can be effectively used to address many issues faced by adolescents and develop life skills among students. She enlightened teachers on how the parent manual which was a part of the series can be used to guide their children.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal, TR Ramesh reiterated the importance of developing life skills among students and the need to address challenges faced by adolescents.
The workshop was attended by 95 teachers, all of whom found it to be an informative and interactive session.
