JAMMU, Aug 11: Prof R D Kaushik, Head of the Department of Chemistry, Dean Faculty of Sciences & Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Gurukula Kangri Vishwa-vidyalaya, Haridwar, Uttara-khand, today delivered an invited lecture on the topic, “Linear Free-Energy Relationships”, under the aegis of Chemical Society, Department of Chemistry, University of Jammu.
The lecture was specially organized for M Sc. 1st & 3rd semester students. Prof Kaushik elaborated the importance and applications of chemical kinetics in developing chemical models for proving the theoretical aspects of chemical reactions. He also encouraged students and research scholars to have a vision in their academics and research work to find possibilities to explore new dimensions in chemical kinetics.
Earlier, Prof S K Pandey, HoD Chemistry introduced Prof R D Kaushik to the audience. The lecture was attended by Prof Meena Sharma, Prof K K Kapoor, Prof R K Bamezai, Prof H N Sheikh, Dr D S Sambyal, Dr Monika Gupta, Ashwani Kumar, Dr Amit Kumar Sharma and all students & scholars of Department.
