JAMMU, Aug 12: The National Federation of Telecom Employees (BSNL), conducted massive dharna at main BSNL office here today.
The protest programme was held on the call given by Nation Forum of BSNL Workers Central Hqr New Delhi, to draw the attention of the management for settlement of long pending demands. Protest dharna and lunch hour protest programme was attended by a large number of BSNL employees here. Gitten Singh, district secretary SSA Jammu and Sanjay Pandita district secretary SSA VGMT office, besides other trade unionists, Ram Krishan, Ashok Raina and Ravi Mukhi addressed the gathering.
The agitating employees were demanding immediate grant of HRA on 78.2 percent IDA fixation benefit as per assurance given in the National Council meeting held in March 2016, formation of joint wage revision committee as per guidelines issued by DPE for wage revision and dropping of proposal for strategic sale of BSNL, apprehensions created by `Niti Ayog’.
