Roop Nagar residents concern over spreading

JAMMU, Sept 26: Welfare Committee Roop Nagar Enclave Block A has voiced its concern over the spreading of huge population of caterpillars and other deadly insects and reptiles in and around the residential houses of whole area.
President of the Committee B J Zutshi said that 5 to 10 percent left over free residential plots have become the real source and breeding ground of these poisonous insects and deadly reptiles.
He urged the municipal authorities to force the owners of these abandoned plots to manage these plots by clearing them from tall perennial wild bushes, grass and weeds. He said that owners be served notices under municipal laws for the management of these free hold residential plots.
P K Peshin general secretary of the Committee in an appeal to the Municipal Commissioner urged him that insecticides be sprayed to get rid of caterpillars menace which is presently playing havoc with the residents.
