CB produces challan against cop, Principal of pvt school

JAMMU, Sept 26: Crime Branch today produced challan against a woman constable, Principal and Vice Principal of private Sun Star Academy, Ban Batera for preparing and producing false, fake and forged qualification certificate at the time of recruitment.
A spokesman of the Crime Branch said that one Beero Devi, wife of Nasib Singh of Batera, Jammu lodged a complaint alleging that one Kalmesh Devi, daughter of Kehar Singh of Sangrampur, has managed job for her husband in the Forest Department and also for herself in the Police Department as constable by procuring and producing false, fake and forged middle pass qualification certificate.
In the complaint, it was also mentioned that middle pass certificate in favour of Kalmesh Devi was issued by Principal Sun Star Academy, Ban Batera by forging the documents.
Initially, local Police conducted the investigation and closed the case as “Not proved”. Final report of the case was produced before the Court of Law, but the same was not accepted by the Court and Crime Branch was directed to re-investigate the case vide order dated July 28, 2010.
During the course of investigation, Crime Branch seized the record, recorded the statements of witnesses and obtained FSL opinion. From the perusal of record, it was found that a School Leaving Certificate of 7th class was obtained by the accused Kalmesh Devi from Government Middle School Kote Garhi on May 23, 1997 vide Sr. No. 1072. As Kalmesh Devi required an 8th pass certificate to apply for job in the Police Department, she approached Principal Sun Star Academy Ban Batera, Banka Ram, son of Moti Ram and Bishen Dass (Vice Principal), son of Moti Ram of Ban Batera, who manipulated the Admission Register and after showing her date of admission in 7th Class vide Sr. No. 120 dated 25.04.1987 prepared a fake and fictitious 8th pass certificate in favour of Kalmesh Devi.
From the evidence, oral as well as documentary, collected during investigation of the case, the accused persons were found to have committed the offences and accordingly challan was produced against them in the Court of Special Municipal Mobile Judicial Magistrate Ist Class Jammu for judicial determination.
All the accused persons have been sent to the judicial custody by the court.
