MENDHAR, Sept 26: In a bizarre incident, a villager died after some wild flies bit him while cutting grass in Sakhi Maidan village of Mendhar tehsil in district Poonch this afternoon.
Reports said the incident took place when 55-year-old Mohd Sharief, son of Ahmed Din, resident of village Sakhi Maidan was cutting grass near his fields at around 2.15 pm today. Some wild flies, locally known as “Dadar” attacked him. More than two dozen big flies bit him and he ran towards his home for safety. He was removed to Mendhar Hospital where doctors started treatment. But he died within half an hour.
