Sir,
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is requested to implement recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission in the State also in view of the recent decisions taken by the neighbouring states of Haryana and Himachal which they have agreed in principle to implement it very shortly. It is hoped that Mehbooba Mufti will take steps in implementing recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission at the earliest to meet the genuine demands of State Government employees and pensioners.
In view of sharp increase of the prices of essential commodities and inflation, any delay in the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission due from January 1, 2016 will ultimately pile up of the arrears burdening further State exchequer of the State Government. As a matter of goodwill gesture, an early implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations is need of the hour.
