KPUCC’s concern over water crisis in Jagti

JAMMU, Aug 14: Kashmiri Pandit United Coordination Committee (KPUCC) in its meeting at Jagti today held under the leadership of Annu Ji Koul and Bansi Lal Koul expressed grave concern over the prevailing water crisis in the Jagti township.
They said the township is facing acute water scarcity for last one month and the administration has failed to look into the problem.
The meeting made an appeal to Relief and Revenue Minister to look into the problem personally by paying a visit to Jagti township and issuing directives to concerned officers to take up effective steps in restoration of water supply there.
The meeting also demanded renovation of quarters as roofs are leaking during the rains. It also demanded proper sanitation in the township as drainage system has become defunct.
The meeting demanded till piped water supply is restored the tankers be deployed to supply the water in the township.
