Railway laundryman held for drug peddling

KATRA, Aug 17: GRP Katra on Wednesday arrested a laundryman of Shri Shakti Express on drug peddling charges and recovered from him approximately 150 grams of Charas, packed in 28 small packets for sale.
As per report, on specific inputs, SHO GRP Katra, Narinder Singh under the supervision of Kamlesh Shoor SDPO Railways Katra, intercepted a person namely Uday Raj Singh of village Bohan, in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Railway Station Katra.
During frisking of the accused, police recovered 145 grams of Charas from his possession, which was packed in 28 small packets.
The arrest was made with timely and special inputs by inspector Rakesh Kumar, In-charge GRP Special Branch Katra.
The accused was arrested and during initial interrogation, he disclosed that he was working in Shri Shakti Express as laundryman and had arriver at Katra by the same train.
In this regard, a case FIR No 06/2016 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station GRP Katra and investigation started.
