JAMMU, Aug 21: An Islamic organisation working for peace and communal harmony today said Pakistan is waging psychological war in Jammu and Kashmir to divert attention from its internal problems.
The comments by Maulana Athar Hussain Dehlavi, chairman, Anjuman Minhaje Rasool, came in the wake of the recent turmoil in Kashmir valley.,              Expressing concern over the Kashmir situation, Maulana Dehlavi, while wrapping up his two-day visit to bordering hamlets of Jammu region, including Poonch and Rajouri, said, “the situation in the Valley is grave as violent protests have led civilians and security forces to feel the brunt of terror.”
The cleric said,   “There is no doubt that Pakistan is behind the present Kashmir turmoil.  ”The Anjuman Minhaje Rasool has observed in past 26 years whenever Pakistan itself faced some internal problems, it always has interfered into Kashmir affairs to distract peoples’ attention from real issues.”
Citing examples of chaotic situation in Pakistan, especially in Quetta and Khyber region, Maulana Dehlavi said, “there is crisis due to corruption, poor economic status and bad governance in Pakistan while people in border areas including Balochistan are up against the atrocities of the Pakistan army.
”Thus it flared the situation in Valley after death of Hizb commander Burhan Wani by symbolising him as martyr.”
