JAMMU, Aug 21: Displaced Pandit Youth Forum held a protest demonstration demanding immediate release of the list of the candidates who have been selected under PM package by SSRB.
The demonstrators also made an appeal to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti in this regard.
The protestors said that PM’s package was announced in 2008 for migrant youth and 3000 posts in various departments were created in the year 2010 for providing employment to the displaced youth. But only 1400 candidates joined so far while 1560 are still pending and these candidates have given written tests and appeared in interviews but were waiting for release of final selection list. They said the package has already spoiled the precious years of displaced youth who have now become the over-aged and any further delay in publishing the list will spoil their career.
Those who addressed the protestors included Deepak Jad, Ashwani Mantoo and G P Singh.
