SVC orders for registration of case against Patwari, others

Srinagar, Aug 23: The State Vigilance Commission (SVC) has ordered for registration of case against then Patwari,  Girdawar and Tehsildar of village Trigam and Dool of Kishtwar district for tampering the revenue records and subsequently attesting the mutation illegally to give undue benefit  to the beneficiaries.  The IG Crime Branch has been asked to register a case against erring officials for starting further investigation in the matter.
Earlier taking cognizance of a complaint of Aijaz Ahmad Lone of Mandri Trigam, Tehsil and district Kishtwar, the State Vigilance Commission had referred the matter for on-the-spot enquiry to Additional Deputy Commissioner (District Vigilance Officer), Kishtwar. The report submitted by DVO prima facie reveals that mutations of the land in question have been attested illegally by the Revenue officials besides making  tempering in the vital Revenue records of these villages.
The enquiry report further established that mutation No 1354-LB-6 and 1355-LB-6 of Village Trigam and the mutation No. 1479-LB-6 and 1426-LB-6 of village Dool have not been attested in accordance with the relevant rules of LB-6 by the authorities. The report also pinpointed that certain tempering have been made in the Revenue records of Halqa Patwar Girdawari/Jamabandi from time to time in violation of rules by the officials of the Revenue Department.
