JAMMU, Aug 23: MC Khalsa College of Education, Jammu organised one day discussion-cum- interaction session on the topic “Teaching Learning Pedagogy and Comparative Study of Educational Structure in India and Malaysia”.
A team of 8 delegates from Malaysia comprising of experts drawn from different strata of the society including Educationalist from University of Technology, Mara, Malaysia visited the college.
Principal of the college Dr Madhu Singh presented the welcome address and declared the programme open. A colourful cultural programme was also organised.
Prof Gurmit Kour from the Department of Management Studies, University of Technology, Malaysia gave a detailed presentation on “Pedagogy of Teaching and Effective Classroom Practices”, which was followed by an interactive session on classroom problems and teaching strategies followed in India and Malaysia.
Dr Harjit Kour from School of Education affiliated to University of Technology, Malaysia gave a detailed picture of “Educational structure and practices being followed in Malaysia”.
The programme concluded with valedictory session wherein Dr Madhu Singh, Principal of the College alongwith Dalbir Singh, Principal of MC High School, Jammu felicitated the guests from Malaysia.
The team of experts comprising of Sarjit Kour, Dr Hasveen Kour, Manjit Kour, Sarjinik and Rajinder Singh, faculty and students of the college also attended the programme.
Meanwhile, the NSS wing of MC Khalsa College of Education organsied one day workshop on the theme “Health and Hygiene”. The team of resource persons included Dr Hasveen Kour, Dental Surgeon from Government Hospital, Malaysia, Sarjeet Kour from an NGO providing volunteer services in Malaysia, Manjeet Kour, expert in the field of Tourism Department, Sarjinik, Mechanical Engineer, University of Tanaga National and Rajinder, a Legal Advisor.
Sarjeet Kour initiated the opening of workshop which was followed by a detailed demonstration on dental health and hygiene by Dr Hasveen Kour.
