Poonch youth’s body found on rail track

MENDHAR, Sept 28:  The body of a B Tech student hailing from Mendhar has been recovered from railway track near Madhopur in Pathankote.
The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Ayaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Khaliq, resident of Ari in Mendhar. The boy had come to his home few days back and left for his college (Geeta Institute of Engg & Tech)  in Pathankote in a train from Jammu on September 25. From Jammu his friend Rahul was also traveling. At Kathua station, Rahul remained sitting in train and Ayaz boarded off for as train stopped there for some time. His mobile phone and bag was also lying in his seat with Rahul.
The train left but Ayaz did not return.  His friend got worried  and started looking for him but could not be trace. His body was noticed by GRP men at Railway track at Madhopur the next day. The police shifted the unclaimed body to Pathankote hospital. The family came to known about the matter last evening and rushed there. After postmortem the body was handed over to the family by Punjab police today. The police has started investigation under section 174 CrPC.
