Indias latest and bold move towards Pakistan policy is inclusion of Balochistan and PoJK. This new Avtaar of Indian proactive diplomacy against Pakistan has started a fresh debate over the future of Indo-Pak relations.
Mission to expose Pakistan before world over the atrocities being inflicted upon Baloch and PoJK people is the central theme of this changed foreign policy of India. The seriousness of India can be gauged from the fact that these issues found a space in the historic I-Day speech, from Red Fort, by PM Narendra Modi. For the first time any Government in India has dared to reciprocate in the same tone which Pakistan commands. From the past 25 years India has been fighting a Pakistan sponsored and thrusted proxy war. But the right time has come now to unveil Pakistan’s venomous character internationally, as she used to beat drums over Kashmir at every politically active world forum.
This tectonic shift in Indias approach against Pakistan will certainly put Pak on backfoot. She will be compelled to focus on her internal matters more which are certainly slipping away from her hands. It will also divert her from Kashmir to PoJK and Balochistan.
