JAMMU, Aug 31:  Former  Sadr-e-Riasat  and veteran Member Parliament Dr Karan Singh is visiting Srinagar from September 1st   to 3rd.
Dr Singh after reaching Srinagar tomorrow would be interacting with various political leaders  and political groups. During his stay in Srinagar,  the veteran Parliamentarian  would also meet the members of civil society, intellectuals and prominent citizens  and discuss the matter with regard to the  current unrest in Kashmir.
Dr Singh has expressed  his deep  and emotional concern over the civilian killings, loss of life of youths and excessive use of force including use of  pellet guns which have rendered hundreds blind and injured. Many security force men have also suffered serious injuries in stone pelting.
It is pertinent to mention here that Dr Singh also spoke in the Rajya Sabha twice over the current unrest  and enlightened  all political parties of the country about the legal position  and historical facts of J&K state of which many people are not aware. Time and again Dr Singh has urged for a peaceful resolution of the issue through political dialogue involving   all stake holders including Ladakh and Jammu. This would involve not only the Central and State Governments  but also civil society in the three regions  and the rest of India.
