SRINAGAR, Aug 31: Acting upon the directions of the State Vigilance Commission, the Revenue Department has handed-over the possession of land falling under Survey No. 633 to its bona fide owner Ramesh Chander Sharma at village Meen Sarkar, Tehsil Samba, Jammu.
The complainant Ramesh Chander Sharma had earlier approached the SVC with a complaint alleging therein that he  purchased a piece of land at village Meen Sarkar, Tehsil  Samba District Jammu during 2006 falling under Survey No. 633 but despite having executed sale deed, the Revenue authorities did not  demarcate the land.
Taking cognizance of complaint, the Commission sought report from Tehsildar concerned, who, in his report, stated that Attorney Holder ( Ranjit Singh)  had fraudulently executed Sale Deed and had shown the land falling  under Survey No. 632 to the complainant of which he  was not the Attorney Holder. However, during further verification it transpired that one Nitasha while purchasing land in Survey No. 630 had sold the land which actually should have been given to complainant in Survey No. 633.
After revelation of the facts the Revenue authorities have identified the land in Survey No.633 and handed over the possession to the complainant.
The Commission taking serious note of the matter, directed Deputy Commissioner Samba to identify the public servants and private persons, who have fraudulently tried to dispose of land of complainant and dealt with them under the relevant provisions of law.
