Legal Awareness Camp held

LEH, Sept 28: To mitigate the legal problems of the people, Legal Awareness Camp was organized by District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Rural Development Department at Block Headquarters Kharoo today.
The awareness camp was chaired by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Chairman Sanjay Parihar and attended by CJM, Leh Yahya Firdous. Others present on the occasion were Councilor Sakti Gyal Wangyal, Councilor Igoo Tashi Norbu, President Bar Association, Leh, Advocate Lasu Shafi, Advocate Thinley Angmo, ACD, Leh Kunzen Angmo, DSO Leh Rigzin Spalgon, Sarpanchs, Panchs and people of Kharu Block.
Speaking on the occasion, DLSA Chairman said that main objective of organizing Legal Awareness Camps in rural areas is to make public aware of their legal rights. He urged upon the people representatives to educate common masses about their rights and various welfare schemes of Union and State Governments.
The CJM Leh Yahya Firdous highlighted the significance of Legal Aid Centre in sensitizing people to attain speedy justice and amicable solutions to their legal problems by providing financial assistance and free advocacy.
