Amritsar, Sept 1: Global Institute of Management and Emerging Technologies, Amritsar signed an MoU with SIEMENS in order to bridge up the gap between industry and institution. Siemens India is a technology power house that has stood for engineering excellence, innovation, quality and reliability. Welcoming the Sr. Manager Er. Jaskaran Singh Bedi, Operation Manager Rajeev Attri and Sr. Manager Marketing Gulsan Sandhu, the Vice Chairman Dr. Akashdeep Singh observed that there is an urgent need to establish meaningful linkages between Institutes of Higher Education and Indian Industry. “It is ripe time that we stop looking towards west for lead. We have resources and will power both. We should take bold initiatives and forge new bonds for the welfare of our people in our own milieu so that Prime Minister’s vision of “Make in India” can be turned with a solid reality,” he added.
Under this agreement, Siemens IATC will conduct workshops and seminars on the latest technologies in the Engineering field in the GIMET Campus. Yearly Job Fest will be conducted for the students who have undergone the training every year. Industry experts will interact and conduct lectures and FDP for the students and faculty.
Director Dr. Rajesh Goel thanked the visiting team for their very fruitful interaction with the students and the faculty.
