JAMMU, Sept 1: Nowabad police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ nabbed two persons along with 15 grams heroin.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Nowabad police station laid a naka Dogra Chowk and intercepted two persons, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 15 grams heroin from the possession of the persons and arrested them on the spot.
The accused have been identified as Abdul Lateif, son of Abdul Ghani Malik of Jindrah and Mandeep Singh, son of Rajbir Singh, a resident of Kunjwani.
A case under FIR Number 121/16 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Nowabad police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nowabad Inspector Raghubir Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Nikhil Rasgotra and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
