Stop harassing employees : EJAC

JAMMU, Sept 1: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has warned the State authorities to stop harassing  the move employees from this region and forcing them to attend duty without security and any assistance.
In a meeting of  the EJAC-K, held here today under the chairmanship of Balwinder Singh,  provincial president ,    the speakers expressed serious concern over the attitude of the authorities and harassment being meted out to the employees from Jammu region in Srinagar.  They said under adverse circumstances the employees, mostly from Jammu region are being made to work in Secretariat and other move offices in Srinagar.  For the last 56 days of curfews and violence, the employees are facing harassment and many difficulties. The senior officers  must stop harassing the employees. They also pleaded for their security and assistance.
The EJAC also demanded regularisation of daily wagers,  temporary employees, remove pay anomalies of clerical cadre and implement 7th Pay Commission report.  Senior trade unionists Nazir Ahmed Bhat, Ravi Singh, Dharminder Singh, Amrik Singh, Abdul Aziz, Subhash Chander, Romesh Singh, Surjit Singh and others also attended the meet.
