JAMMU, Sept 1: The renowned sculptor of Birpur, Ravinder Jamwal, today visited Pargwal and selected site for installation of statue of Amar Shaheed Capt Gandharbh Singh Manhas.
The statue is likely to be installed by October 29 this year, the day when Capt achieved martyrdom while fighting against Pakistan army at Kadala (Bimber).
It may also be mentioned that when Pakistan army attacked Pargwal on September 24, 1947, the gallant people of Pargwal led by Capt Gandharb Singh, eliminated one section of Pakistan army, capturing nine rifles and one LMG and that too without firing a bullet.
