JAMMU, Sept 2: A delegation of Casual/Need based workers of Power Development Department (PDD), Jammu, today met Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Pawan Kotwal, and presented him a charter of demands for onward submission to Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti.
RK Sharma, president, Citizens Welfare and Development Council (CWDC), who headed the delegation, while interacting with the Divisional Commissioner, apprised him that Casual/Need based workers of PDD have not been paid their wages since long due to which they are finding it difficult to manage domestic needs of their family members.
Sharma also urged the Divisional Commissioner for ensuring regularization of those Casual/Need based workers, who have completed their 7 years of service.
The Divisional Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the delegation members and assured them that the matter will be taken up with the Government as well as administrative department of PDD.
