SAMBA, Sept 2: Congress leader from Vijaypur constituency Arun Sharma visited border village of Nanga and adjoining areas and projected the burning issues of the border people.
Accompanied by several BCC functionaries including Capt Baldev Raj , Gulshan Lal, Onkar Singh, Baishakhi Ram and Parmajit Singh, Mr Sharma listened to the issues of the border people and expressed his resolve to take up the issues with the senior officials concerned.
At village Nanga while interacting with people, the border villagers invited the attention of the visiting Congress leaders towards the deteriorated conditions of road from Ramgarh to Nanga. They said about 3 Km road needs immediate repair. They also referred to long power cuts and problems being faced by public due to it.
At village Sarvha people demanded construction of main street. They also sought upgradation of transformer because of low voltage. Besides shortage of irrigation water , the locals also raised unemployment problem in this border belt. They said that youth have been fed up with the anti-youth policies of the BJP-PDP Govt.
At village Shazadpur people demanded boundary wall of Govt School and cremation shed at the local cremation ground. Kirpalpur people demanded black topping and repairing of road via Canal Rampur to Chak Doulte.
They also raised issues regarding construction of lane, drain, electricity problems and scarcity of water supply, unemployment and poor road condition.
Mr Sharma while addressing meetings assured the people to take up their issues with the concerned officers.
