Eva Longoria’s ‘Devious Maids’ cancelled

LONDON, Sept 3:  TV show “Devious Maids”, co-produced by actress Eva Longoria, has been axed by Lifetime after four series, despite being the most watched drama on the network.
The decision to axe ‘Devious Maids’ has come after the fourth series saw a drop in viewing figures. When it first aired, figures peaked at around three million, compared to less than one million by series four, reported Female First.
The 41-year-old “Desperate Housewives” actress worked as an executive producer on the show.
The show followed the lives of a group of friends comprised of Marisol (Ana Ortiz), Rosie (Dania Ramírez), Carmen (Roselyn Sánchez) and Zoila (Judy Reyes), who were brought closer by their jobs and life struggles.
“Devious Maids” was created by Marc Cherry, who worked with Longoria previously on his show “Desperate Housewives”.
Before the show found its home on Lifetime, it was developed and piloted by ABC. (PTI)
