3 injured as Alto rolls down in gorge

RAMBAN, Sept 12: Three persons including a woman received injuries, when the Alto car they were traveling in, skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Maroog area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK01U-6896 was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it landed into 40 feet deep gorge near Maroog area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, resulting into injuries to three persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of locals rescued the injured persons.
All the injured persons were shifted to District Hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable, when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Iklak (driver), son of Ghulam Nabi, Nazir Ahmed Paray, son of Abdullah Paray and Shahnaza, wife of Ghulam Mohammad, trio residents of Srinagar.
A case in this regard has been registered at Ramban police station and investigation started.
