Bikers loot Rs 10 lakh cash

JAMMU, Sept 12: In broad day light, miscreants today looted a manager of a petrol pump of Rs 10 lakh in Gole Market area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station.
As per police sources, manager of Aar Pee Auto Aids Petrol Pump at Nai Basti namely Charan Dass, son of Chajju Ram, a resident of Channi Himmat was going to deposit Rs 10 lakh in Central Bank of India, Gandhi Nagar Branch today afternoon.
Two patka clad bike-borne youths waylaid the manager near the Bank at Gole Market and snatched the bag containing the cash and fled the scene.
The victim raised hue and cry, but the miscreants managed to escape from the spot riding on a without registration number motorcycle with no resistance.
Later, on the receipt of the information, police parties rushed to the spot.
A case under FIR Number 217/16 under Section 382 RPC has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and manhunt has been launched to nab the miscreants.
No arrest was made so far when last reports came in.
