JAMMU, Sept 13: ‘HRD Congress’, the first of its kind in the State, will be organized by the School of Business Studies, Central University of Jammu at the J&K Convention Centre, Jammu under the theme “Nurturing World Class Organizations in an Emerging Global Diaspora” from 16th to 18th of September, 2016.
The Congress, being organized by the Central University of Jammu in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education, J&K Government, provides a platform for industry- academia interface. It shall also provide an opportunity to researchers, academicians and practitioners from various organizations to discuss the contemporary HRD issues. Besides eminent personalities from corporate world, the Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar, MoS Education Priya Sethi and Advisor to CM, Prof Amitabh Mattoo will participate in the event. 30 CEOs and MD S are visiting the University.
This ‘HRD Congress’ shall provide an opportunity to engage in debate about how to adapt, innovate and be resilient at a time when digitization and sustainability have become prominent issues. This event intends to focus on the contemporary issues to enable academia, industry, corporate, HR students, scholars and other professionals to understand and appreciate the intrinsic nuances about nurturing the world class organizations. This event will strengthen the research and academic base as a critical foundation to achieve useful insights in the education system.
The event is being organized under the patronage of Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor CUJ. Chairman of the HRD Congress is Suresh Tripathi (Vice President, HR Tata Steel) and Co-Chairman is D K Bakshi (Chief Mentor & CEO Global Talent Company Ltd).
In the three-day event, two days shall be devoted to extensive corporate interactions while the third day shall be devoted to paper presentation by researcher and academicians, informed Prof Devanand, Dean SBS, and hoped that the Congress shall open avenues for placement of Jammu students.
