JAMMU, Sept 10: Devsthan Baba Bhair Dev Trust has demanded immediate construction of three kilometer road from Katal Batal to Devsthan Baba Bhair Dev.
The demand was raised by the Trust deputation comprising Ramesh Sharma, General Secretary and Subash Shastri and Kirpal Singh, which called on BJP leader and MLC Ajatshatru and submitted a memorandum to him.
The Trust demanded that the area proposed plan for conservation of Tawi River should be extended to Devsthan Baba Bhair Dev in view of religious and historical importance of this place which is being visited by thousands of pilgrims to seek the blessing of Kuldevta throughout the year.
Setting up a picnic-cum-culture spot in the vicinity of Devsthan and construction of all weather sheds along with community hall for the pilgrims were other demands highlighted in the memorandum.
The MLC gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured that development of Devsthan will be taken up on top priority.
