POONCH, Sept 13: Army has organized three-week recruitment training for the youth of Surankote at Youth Employment Guidance Node (YEGN), Surankote.
The training caters to the requirements of recruitment to Army which are the most sought after professions amongst the youth of remote villages of the tehsil.
To create additional employment opportunities in the corporate sector too, certain vocational and soft skills have also been added in the curriculum, apart from the basic physical fitness and written examination training which will give them an insight into the whole process of recruitment.
The training imparted to local youths will instill confidence and improve the standards for both physical and written tests. The youth look at this opportunity for enhancement and improvement of their personal and social abilities.
This locals-friendly step taken by the Army aims to address the employment opportunities besides leading to positive interaction, social development and foster healthy environment amongst the youth coming from far flung and isolated areas of Surankote.
The response to the initiative was overwhelming. A large number of trainees feel optimistic about their performance in the recruitment rallies for Army and Corporate Sector.
