JAMMU, Sept 8: Low paid employees, numberdars and village guards in a meeting at Akhnoor today held under the chairmanship of Babu Ram President Low Paid Employees Federation demanded implementation of 7th Pay Commission on the pattern of Central Government in the State also.
Other demands raised were enhancement of monthly Medical Allowance from present paltry rate of Rs 300 to Rs 1000.
The speakers were highly critical of introduction of Bio Metric System of attendance in respect of Numberbars and Village Guards as they said it is quite impracticable as regards the nature of their duties and functions in their respective areas and sought immediate reconsideration of the same.
