Burglars decamp with donation box having Rs 35,000 cash

JAMMU, Sept 8: Thieves barged into a temple in Subash Nagar area and decamped with donation box having around Rs 35,000 cash.
As per police sources, burglars struck into Shiv Temple at Gandhi Chowk area in Subash Nagar late last night and decamped with donation box having cash around Rs 35,000.
The theft was noticed by some persons in the morning, who informed the police.
On getting information, a team from Sarwal police post rushed to the spot and collected circumstantial evidences including CCTV footage. The team also recovered the donation box from some meters away from the temple.
A case in this regard has been registered at Sarwal police post and manhunt has been launched to nab the thieves.
However, no arrest was made till last reports were compiled.
