Brahman Sabha organizes awareness camp

JAMMU, Sept 14: Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha today organized an awareness camp at village Chanunta, as a part of its mega awareness campaign launched throughout the region against the menace of drug abuse.
A large number of members of Brahman community attended the camp wherein they were briefed about the problems and issues facing the community. The organizers stressed the need to remain united and simplify various religious and other cultural complexities.
Speaking on the occasion, president of the Sabha, Ved Parkash Sharma, asked the youth to follow age old Dharma and not to fall prey to drug problems which has engulfed the community.
Dr KC Sharma, noted environmentalist, stressed on worshipping nature instead of changing illusory dreams. He also laid stress on the importance of disciplined and simple spiritual life. A prominent social activist, Subash Shastri, also spokes on the occasion.
Those who were present on the occasion include Shivram Sharma, Jagannath Sharma, Advocate PC Sharma, Ramesh Sharma, Rattan Chand Sharma, Ganesh Dutt Sharma, Sanjeev Sharma, Rakesh Sharma and Kartar Chand.
