RAJOURI, Sept 29: In a most inhumane act of killing of 4-year old boy by his own father and his so called ‘spiritual Guru’, the police produced a charge-sheet against them in the court of law today.
The reports revealed that on February 13, the Police Station Sunderbani, reliably learnt that one Raj Kumar alias Raju Baba , son of Bir Chand, resident of Kuldabi in tehsil Sunderbani has buried the dead body of his son namely Shubam Sharma ( 4), inside Bheron temple where he used to worship. It was also learnt that boy had died under mysterious circumstances on the intervening night of February 11-12.
On this Sunderbani police initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC. The dead body of the boy was exhumed for postmortem after seeking orders from District Magistrate. During investigation it was transpired that on February 8, 2012 Raj Kumar alias Raju Baba went to the house of his spiritual Guru Madan Lal alias Basha at Badyal Brahmana R S Pura to participate in religious function, where he was motivated by Madan Lal to sacrifice his son to please Beron Devta for attaining spiritual powers and richness. As planned, Raju Baba came to his house on the same evening and strangulated his 4-year-old son Shubam. His Guru also arrived after he told him about sacrifice. They both buried the body at the temple of Beron Devta without informing anybody. The Medical report was also received which indicated that child died due to asphyxia.
S P Rajouri Mubassar Latiffi said that the police after completion of investigation in the case today produced challan in the court of law under Section 302/109 RPC against the accused father and his so called Guru.
