Srinagar, Sept 16: In an hour long meeting at the Raj Bhawan here this evening, Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti discussed the obtaining situation and the steps underway to restore normalcy.
Meanwhile, Vohra, visited Hqrs. XIV Corps, Leh, today and was briefed by Lt Gen PJS Pannu, Corps Commander, regarding the situation along the LoC and LAC, which fall within the area of responsibility of this Corps.
The Governor held a detailed discussion with Lt Gen Pannu regarding issues relating to the speedy growth and development of the hinterland areas, particularly problems of connectivity and the growing difficulties faced by the graziers due to the shrinking of pasture lands.
The Governor and GOC also discussed the proposed expansion of road network which is required to connect various parts of Ladakh internally and with the plains.
