Plus 2 Forum urges DSEJ to review transfer orders of hard hit Lecturers

UDHAMPUR, Sept 19: The monthly meeting of District Udhampur unit of All J& K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held under the chairmanship of Ashok Sharma, district president of the Forum and discussed the transfer orders of Lecturers issued recently by DSEJ.
The members rued that many Lecturers having stay of more than seven-eight years in remote areas have been left out and demanded their transfer as per their choices reflected at the time of Transfer Melas. They demanded that the Lecturers and other employees on the verge of retirement should be transferred nearer to their residence on humanitarian grounds and as per the transfer policy. They said that the process of transfer should be invariably completed during summer/winter breaks and transfer be effected on the basis of subject need.
The meet urged the DSE Jammu to review the transfer orders of hard hit Lecturers and those transferred prematurely for their suitable adjustment. The members also demanded suitable seating facilities for the employees who come to the Directorate for the redressal of their grievances. They demanded rationalization of the posts of Lecturers in all Higher Secondary Schools and ‘Heritage School’ status. They also demanded that there should be parity in result percentage of the Head of the Institution and Lecturers for the sanction and release of their annual increments.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Sharma demanded total adherence to the norms of the Transfer Policy and completion of the process during breaks. He also flayed the JKBOSE for its slackness in clearing the pending bills of Superintendents, Dy Supdts and Asstt Supdts.  He also demanded that Provisional Certificates be supplied to the Private candidates alongwith their Marks Card immediately after the declaration of the result.
During the meeting, Forum also highlighted its long pending demands, which include; benefit of running pattern, restoration of 40 percent promotional quota, regularization of all Incharge incumbents in the School Education Department, upgradation of the post of lecturer in Physical Education, enhancement in the Grade Pay of Principals and declaration of their post as non vocational.
