Two drug peddlers held with heroin

JAMMU, Sept 19: Digiana police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested two drug peddlers along with 5 grams heroin.
As per police sources, a team from Digiana police post laid a naka near Cremation Ground, Shastri Nagar and intercepted two pedestrians, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 5 grams heroin from the possession of persons and arrested them on spot.
The accused have been identified as Jaipreet Singh alias Honey, son of Joginder Singh and Manjot Singh, son of Manjeet Singh, both residents of Preet Nagar, Digiana.
A case under FIR Number 224/16 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
Police team led by HC Rattan Kumar from Digiana police post made arrest under supervision of Incharge Digiana police post SI Pawan Dogra, SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, SDPO Gandhi Nagar Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
