JAMMU: ‘Hall of Fame’ at Leh has topped the list of five Indian museums which figured in the list of best 25 museums of Asia. The above emerged in a recent survey by ‘Trip Advisor’ which ranked the museums as per views expressed by travellers.
“Hall of Fame at Leh was voted as a “Must Visit” place by travellers in the survey,” Col S D Goswami, Defence Spokesperson here said. He added the the museum was established in 1986 to showcase the valour, sacrifice and achievements of the Indian Army in various operations in Ladakh in addition to this it also displays the culture and heritage of the Ladakh region.
He added that over the last three decades, the Hall of Fame has become a major attraction for domestic and foreign tourists alike, having an annual footfall of over 1,50,000 visitors. (AGENCIES)
