Smart city announcements jokes of BJP: Cong

Excelsior Correspondent
Jammu, Sept 21: Congress today lashed out at the Centre and State for their failure to honor the announcement to include the capital cities Jammu and Srinagar in the smart cities, even in the third round declared on Tuesday.
Reacting to the development, PCC chief spokesman Ravinder Sharma termed it a cruel joke with the people of the State. He said Centre Govt has tried to befool the people of the State, by their false promises and announcements in this regard in the past, which have come out to be ‘Jumlas’ of the Modi Govt. It is crystal clear from the fact that the DPR (Detail Project Report) has not yet been submitted by the State Govt, under the concerned ministry also headed by the Dy CM belonging to BJP.
He strongly criticized the PDP-BJP in State and Modi led BJP Govt at Centre for false and fake promises, which have practically remained hollow slogans and the people feel betrayed and both BJP and PDP are answerable to the people for their utter failure and deception on this account and various other fronts.
Meanwhile, the PCC has strongly criticized the State Govt for its failure to recognize and honor the supreme sacrifices of Army soldiers, who were martyred for the nation, as the Govt failed to announce any ex-gratia for their families. This showed the insensitivity of the Govt towards the sacrifices of jawans, who martyred in this State in Uri especially those belonging to this State and laid down their lives for the sake of nation.
The State did not announce any sort of ex-gratia to the families of martyrs in the past also like those martyred in Manipur and Pathankot belonging to Jammu region whereas, other states recognized their sacrifices in their States, which is highly unfortunate and condemnable.
