VHP leader for activating Civil Defense in Jammu

JAMMU, Sept 21: VHP senior leader, Dr Rama Kant Dubey today demanded that the civil defense be activated in the Jammu region in view of the increasing terrorist strikes from across the border and present hostilities with Pakistan.
In a statement issue here, Dr Dubey said that constant vigil be maintained along all the rivers flowing to Pakistan from Jammu region like Basantar, Devika , Bhai Nullah, and other nullahs which in past have been safe passage for terrorists from across the border.
He said besides the constant vigil be maintained at forests in Chechi Mata and other places in Samba and Kahtua districts as past experience of 1965 and 1971 wars have shown that the intruders from these roots tried to sneak inside the Indian territory.
Dr Dubey further demanded activating civil defense as a preemptive move to deal with any eventuality under the prevailing circumstances.
