JAMMU, Sept 21: A woman was killed while two others were injured in separate road mishaps in outskirts of this winter capital of the State.
A woman pedestrian identified as Rajni Koul (58) wife of Daleep Koul, resident of Bharat Nagar (Talab Tillo) was seriously injured after a Wagon-R car hit her while she was crossing the Jammu-Akhnoor Road near Kamla Palace.
The blood-ridden woman was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was declared as brought dead by the doctors. After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased woman was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
An unknown youth got injured when the bike bearing registration number JK02AS-3237 on which he was travelling, rammed into a divider of the road at Indra Nagar in Miran Sahib area. He was shifted to GMCH for treatment.
An unknown man of age about 35 years was also injured in Akhnoor area when the bike he was riding was hit by a tempo. He was taken to Government Hospital Akhnoor for treatment but later referred to GMCH Jammu.
In all three cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
