JAMMU, Sept 24: Former Minister and founder of Nature-Mankind Friendly Global Party along with Salim Gilani, Chairman Jammu-Kashmir People Party, have denounced war-mongering propaganda and urged for confidence building measures between India and Pakistan.
In a joint statement, the two leaders expressed their serious concern over escalating tension between the two nuclear countries and feared that attempt to save the false prestige of pseudo strong leadership can trigger off fifth Indo-Pak war.
They appealed to both the countries to stop the war propaganda, maintain maximum restraint and shun the inhuman path of destructive war. “The war means destruction, a path of mutual-suicide and crime against Mankind. India and Pakistan should adopt the path of peace, friendship, cooperation and compromising solution of Jammu-Kashmir trilateral dispute and other Indo-Pak outstanding disputes, which are the fundamental cause of Jammu-Kashmir unrest and Indo-Pak unproductive confrontation and War,” the statement added.
Both the leaders urged India and Pakistan to immediately convene Indo-Pak high level Summit in order to de-escalate the war like situation, jointly move to normalize the turbulent situation of Jammu-Kashmir and initiate meaningful trilateral dialogue for the just resolution of Jammu-Kashmir trilateral dispute.
