JAMMU, Sept 30: Jammu and Kashmir Bank organised a Kissan Credit Card (KCC) camp for farming community at Chenani in Udhampur. The camp was inaugurated by vice-president and zonal Head, Jammu (North), zone Doda, MI Wani.
While speaking, Wani said that J&K Bank is always on forefront of providing banking facilities to the agriculture sector in the State. He highlighted the advantages of Kissan Credit Card (KCC) and requested the farming community to avail the facility.
Earlier, Cluster Head, Udhampur-Ramban, Iqbal Singh welcomed the beneficiaries of KCC scheme and highlighted the initiatives taken by the Bank for the welfare of the farmers. He informed that the Bank has so far distributed KCCs amounting to Rs 5.55 crore in district Udhampur.
On the occasion, the Bank distributed 162 Kissan Credit cards on spot amongst the farmers.
The camp was attended by farmers, Sarpanchs and Panchs of the near by villages, besides staff of the Bank.
