JAMMU, Sept 27: 110th birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh was celebrated today with great enthusiasm by various political and educational organizations across Jammu region.
BJP State Martyrs Cell organized an impressive programme to mark celebration of Birth Anniversary of Freedom Fighter Bhagat Singh at BJP Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Bharat Bhushan Sharma, State convenor along with MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta, was the chief guest. District presidents, Baldev Baloria and Ayodhya Gupta, State secretaries, Sanjay Baru, Assem Gupta and Vikram Randhawa and Dr Suresh Ajay Magotra, State president, BJYM were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Gupta lauded the role of Bhagat Singh in freedom struggle to make India free from Britishers. He said that many freedom fighters had given their lives for our present and we must remember their contribution in our daily life. Bharat Bhushan said that Nation is responsibility of the citizens and Bhagat Singh had proved this by sacrificing his life for the Nation.
A function to celebrate birthday of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh was also organized by Jammu West Team of BJP at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, Ayodhya Gupta, Jammu West, District president, threw light on the life and sacrifice of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. He added that Nation has to see him as an Icon and asked the youth to follow his footsteps.
Kranti Dal, Jammu and Kashmir, today celebrated the birth anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh with great pomp and show. Paying tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, State president of Kranti Dal, Pritam Sharma, said that Bhagat Singh was the real hero as his sacrifice for the country at such a young age inspires us to love the Country.” He said that every moment of Bhagat Singh’s life was purposeful, but his single lifetime objective was freedom of the Nation.
Senior party leader, Raj Roop Singh, Thakur Karnail Chand, Rajan Gupta (president, Ward 66) Rajinder Bhagat, Vijay Kumar, Bhagwan Sharma, Neeraj Dhiman, Tarun Gupta and many other party leaders also paid floral tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
J&K Freedom Fighters Association held a function to remember Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary at Dewan Badrinath Mandir, Old Secretariat, Mubarak Mandi. The function was presided over by Association president, Ved Gandotra and Anil Gupta was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, the members highlighted the life history of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and his associates, who fought for the freedom of the motherland.
The members also remembered Netaji Subash Chander Bose, Maha Rani Laxmi Bhai, Chander Shekhar Azad, Ashfaq Ullah Khan, Bahadur Shah Zaffar, Tatya Tope, Nana Ji and all know and unknown freedom fighters who scarified their lives for the motherland.
GS Accounts Institute celebrated 110th birth anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh at its premises, here at Parade. The students of the Institute raised full throated slogans hailing the life and work of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh and expressing their determination to carry out the revolutionary transformation from capitalism to socialism.
The students of the institute led by Chairmen cum Senior Faculty, Girish Sharma along with Ravinder Kumar, Senior Faculty, offered garland to the portrait of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh. Earlier, the programme started with recitation of National Anthem and bhajans by stuents of the institute.
