Srinagar, Sept 30: Security forces today launched searches in Kulgam area of South Kashmir after militants fired on a patrol party from nearby orchards.
Security forces cordoned off Dagerkote, Hawangund, Bahibagh, Chek and Aalamgund against a group of militants after they fired from an orchard at a Police and CRPF party at Bahibagh village.
There was no damage caused due to firing but police and CRPF immediately cordoned off the area and were joined by the Army. Sources said that the militants are hiding in the cordoned off villages.
