IGP Railways reviews security ahead of Navratra festivals

JAMMU, Oct 1: IGP Railways, Jammu, Dr Kamal Saini, paid a visit to Railways Jammu Zone and held a darbar of GRP jawans. He also reviewed the security of Railways, Jammu Zone.
During the darbar, IGP issued directions to the jawan for ensuring security of railway passengers. He advised the policemen to be polite but firm while performing their duties.
Besides the officers and jawans of GRP Jammu, SSP GRP Katra, AK Mahajan, SP Jammu, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Deputy SP, Parshotam Mengi, Deputy SP, Rajinder Kumar Kitchloo and Deputy SP, Param Vir Singh also participated in the darbar.
Later IGP visited the platforms and other vital installations of Railway Station, where he instructed the representatives of security agencies engaged in security of railways to remain vigilant in view of forth coming Navratra festival, VVIP visits and continuous flow of intelligence inputs.
Thereafter, an introductory-cum-security review meeting was held in the office chamber of SP Railways, Jammu, wherein besides above mentioned officers of GRP, CO, IRP, 4th Battalion, Pankaj Maghu, MCO, Jammu, Col RS Yadav, DTM, Jammu, RN Meena, ADEN, Jammu, MS Khosla, ASC RPF/JAT, AP Mathur, Inspector, RPF JAT, Rajesh Rana, O/C BSF T/C Camp, VK Dutta, participated.
During the meeting IGP gave instructions to various representatives of security agencies to remain well knit to forestall any kind of untoward incident and to let no chance to nefarious designed elements to sneak into the vicinity of Railways, Jammu Zone.
