NEW DELHI, Oct 1: The wholesale gur (jaggery) market finished on a steady note in the national capital today with prices remaining unaltered at the previous levels on little doing.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also showed a similar trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying activities.
Marketmen said muted demand amid scattered arrivals from manufacturing belts, mainly kept gur prices on last levels.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,700-3,800, pedi Rs 3,700-3,800, dhayya Rs 4,000-4,100 and shakkar Rs 4,100-4,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,250-3,300, chakku Rs 3,200-3,350, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,250-3,350 and dhayya Rs 3,400-3,450. (PTI)
