JAMMU, Oct 1: Two persons were killed, when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a water tanker in holy town Katra.
As per reports, two persons namely Shiva, son of Kewal Bakshi and Yougal, son of Chaman Lal, both residents of Mandyal, Katra, were seriously injured, when the motorcycle (JKO2AA 5233) they were riding on collided with a water tanker (JKO2D 1550) in Chamba, Panthal, Katra.
The duo were shifted to nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced Shiva as brought dead, while, Yougal, was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for specialized treatment.
At GMC hospital, Yougal failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
The tanker driver was arrested, while a case has been registered at Katra Police Station and investigation started.
