Surgical strike slugfest

Give the devil his due, goes the saying. Pakistan’s intelligence establishment deserves its due for creating political slugfest about our surgical strikes on terrorist launch pads across the LoC. Those in the country, who ask for a proof, indirectly express their faith in Pakistan’s culture of denial but lack of faith in the assertions of our Army Commander.
The rabble raisers have no faith in the Government which they have elected and installed in the seat of power: they have no faith in the sacrifices made by our armed forces rendering duty in extraordinary difficult conditions, and they have no faith in themselves whether they are the nationals of India or Pakistan. History records that we have had our share of the progeny of Jaichands and Mir Jafars.
Anand Sharma, the Congress stalwarts asserts that Uri attack retaliatory surgical strike is not the first, and that during Congress regime, such strikes have taken place. Well and good if Congress showed the guts. But why the Congress Government then did not disclose the claimed strikes and today wants Modi Government to release the videos? Why is it resorting to double standards? The Congress and others now clamouring for evidence are fully aware that military operations conducted with extraordinary secrecy and meticulous precision are not for public gaze. Why people like Mumbai Congress chief Sanjay Nirupam and Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal raise doubts about the veracity of the surgical strikes is not to convince themselves or their cohorts. They are trying to bring pressure on Modi Government to release the videos so that Pakistan would come to know how and why it was caught napping and how a super strategy made the terrorists across the LoC go down into dust and debris.
All that these idlers and tongue lashers want is to shield Pakistan from ignominy that Indian army has thrust on it for the second time. They are strengthening the denial syndrome of Pakistan. If what Pakistan says is true that nothing of the sort happened except a stray gun fire somewhere, the question is why Pakistan Prime Minister called emergency session of Pakistan Parliament within 24 hours of the event? Why Pakistan has ordered massive movement of troops along the LoC and International Border? Why has the US asked both sides to maintain restraint and clarified that Washington is in touch with both countries.
The entire hullabaloo about the truth of surgical strike is clearly politically motivated. The entire country hailed the bold initiative of Prime Minister Modi. Even those who do not approve any positive measure of his Government, too, acknowledged that the initiative was appropriate and timely.
It is difficult rather futile to make these wooden headed people understand what it means to carry out surgical strike and the details of planning it entails. They must understand that Indian army struck at the terrorist establishment of a country where the nuclear arsenal is within the reach of the terrorists categorized by Pakistan as non-state actors but by her army as frontline of defence against India. We are not going to disclose even the minutest detail of the attack if we have these in our hands because that is not in our interest but is frantically desired by enemy so that it knows the tactics our army employed. However, we will disclose only one very small measure that should silence the rabble rousers once for all. When the final call was to be taken by three top persons, who were to press the crucial button, they had abandoned their mobile phones for secrecy and security purposes. If the detractors of Modi are unnerved by his extraordinarily bold decision, the entire nation is behind him and his Government and in the words of Mark Antony in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, we can say about Modi,” Here is the man”.
